Professor Andrew Levers is the Executive Director of the Virtual Engineering Centre and leads the University of Liverpool’s Institute for Digital Engineering and Autonomous Systems (IDEAS).
In addition to this, Andy leads the science and Engineering faculty’s delivery of the Place and Innovation pillar of UoL’s Strategy 2031 and of the wider Innovation & Place strategy.
Andy has extensive senior industry and academic leadership experience, primarily in the aerospace sector. During his career at Airbus, he was responsible for manufacturing technology and strategy developments. At the VEC, Andy led on the digital transformation programmes under LCR4.0 and national digital framework projects.
