The Internship Opportunity
We are searching for a number of interns from the University of Liverpool to join the VEC in between your studies for a unique paid internship opportunity. Our teams have been running competitive and highly successful internship schemes for several years and are always looking to support the skills of the future.

Candidates
The VEC is looking for hard-working, conscientious and professional minded students who are keen to learn and develop skills within a team and independently. The internships for 2024 will be particularly interested in candidates who are interested in the following areas:
- Blockchain
- NFT Minting
- Web3 application
- Digital Twin and IoT applications
- CAD and 3D printing
Projects can lean into applications for heritage and industry work, including asset tracking and even scanning of specific environments.
Academic Background: Ideally students will hold an engineering or similar background and be eager to learn during their time at the VEC.
Locations: The internships will be based in the Digital Innovation Facility (Dover Street L69 3RF) and Sci-Tech Daresbury (Warrington WA4 4AD), so please let us know if you have the means to travel to these locations.
Time: The internship will take place in the summer months, with exact start and end dates to be discussed and agreed upon to not disrupt studies.

About VEC
VEC (Virtual Engineering Centre) is part of the University of Liverpool and sits under IDEAS (Institute for Digital Engineering and Autonomous Systems) and co-locates world-class academic research and industrial application in the areas of Autonomous Systems, Robotics, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence to name but a few.
We have collaborated with hundreds of local SMEs in addition to working alongside larger organisations across a magnitude of sectors and industries including aerospace, automotive, arts and heritage, healthcare, nuclear, energy and manufacturing.
Our teams come from an array of backgrounds and focus on projects which look at data science, advanced visualisation, software development, industrial innovation, and even digital twins.
