Whilst Warrington’s ‘x’ has been on its travels around the town and further afield this summer, the TEDxWarrington team has been working hard behind the scenes to create an inspirational event for the town to look forward to this Autumn.
There have been technical visits by Prism Studios to this years’ venue and marketing and promotional activity created by Comma Sense, Beech Web Services and Mood Digital. The organising team, led by Kirsty James, is a voluntary collaboration that unites many Warrington businesses, all committed to ensuring every last detail is absolutely perfect.
About the event
TEDxWarrington will take place on the evening of Thursday 16 November 2023 at the Trust Alliance Group conference facility on the Daresbury Park business complex, Warrington.
Tickets will go on sale in October. Those interested in attending are encouraged to sign up to the newsletter via the website to receive event updates and notice of the ticket release date.
The event theme is ‘Tackling Adversity, Embracing Change’. A diverse line-up of speakers will be sharing a talk based on their own interpretation of this theme.
Shortlisted speaker candidates are now in the early stages of a Speaker Training Programme led by highly-regarded speaker coach and former TEDx speaker, Catherine Sandland. The final speaker line-up will remain top secret until nearer the event.
Welcoming event sponsors committed to growth, learning and innovation
A key task for the team is attracting and selecting local sponsors as TEDx is bound by licence to operate as an independent and non-commercial event.
The team is delighted to welcome back some of its 2022 sponsors, including Rebecca Wray Coaching Consultancy, which offers personal development training and coaching programmes.
Warrington Business Exchange, the networking arm of the Warrington Chamber of Commerce, joins as a new sponsor this year and was announced at their annual Warrington Business Conference this month.
TEDxWarrington has also secured some important new partnerships in the town. Cheshire’s Mix56, formerly Lymm Radio, will be an official media partner ensuring that the event remains in the public eye – or ear!
And Warrington & Vale Royal College, a Further Education college in the town centre, will be the AV partner, ensuring that the videography team led by Paul Chadwick at Prism is supported with additional staff, equipment and event footage. This exciting partnership displays a commitment by TEDxWarrington to invest in young people and provide local students with a wonderful opportunity to gain work experience linked to a renowned global brand.
Does your organisation believe in the value of sharing ideas?
TEDxWarrington is now seeking further sponsorship from organisations active in the Warrington area that:
- are committed to promoting personal growth, learning and thought-leadership
- believe in the value of sharing new ideas and their potential to change beliefs and behaviours
- foster community spirit and create local impact, and
- share our team’s ambition to put the town on the map through this prestigious, high-profile event.
A variety of sponsorship packages are available with a range of associated benefits, promotional opportunities and event tickets. Most importantly, TEDxWarrington presents an opportunity to champion the spread of ideas worth sharing, first heard on a Warrington stage before they reach a global audience. To discuss partnership, contact the team to arrange a call back from the Stakeholder Manager.
