About this event
To have confidence in the use of a flight simulator to support pilot training, aircraft design and certification, and aircraft operational clearances, it must have ‘sufficient fidelity’ for its use. There are still several research areas that remain to be explored to answer the question “how good is good enough?” for flight simulation fidelity. This lecture will provide highlights from the last 20+ years of flight simulation research that the speaker has been engaged with to try and answer that question and to show that flight simulation is more than just a game.
Light refeshments and beverages will be served from 6.30pm.
