Dr Matteo Broggi, Virtual Engineering Centre (VEC) Technical and Research Support team member has received the International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics, Best Paper Award 2011 for his paper titled: ‘Reliability assessment of axially compressed composite cylindrical shells with random imperfections’.
He has specialist expertise in the uncertainty quantification of large Finite Element models; robust design optimization; high performance computing and surrogate modelling.
